Tights Tuesday - Spanx Super Shaping Sheers with a High Waist – Body-Sculpting Hosiery

 Spanx tights are obviously well-known for their body-shaping qualities, and the Super Shaping high-waist sheers are among their best products in this respect. Make no mistake about it: these nylons accomplish what they set out to do, and according to some women, they’ve grown quite indispensable. I personally wasn’t particularly thrilled about them, because let’s just face it, while I have no problems with the feeling of encasement most pantyhose create, this I found a little too much. Starting out right under the bra, and encasing the wearer’s body all the way to the toes in its 85% nylon/15% lycra fabric, these tights exert pressure in all the right places, but with all that, I did feel like they were simply wearing me out, and I found myself eager to get them off after a while.  

The Spanx Super Shaping Sheers with a High Waist come with Spanx shaping magic, which essentially means that there’s a tummy panel which gets one’s tummy under control, while the bum gets lifted. The visual results are indeed satisfactory, it’s just that in my case I found they came at the cost of way too much discomfort. 

The legs of the tights are quite standard, featuring a 20 DEN weight (mind you, the upper part responsible for the "shaping magic" seems to be thicker, heavier material. The whole thing is cling-free, and the crotch panel is a special, Y-front one, which opens up granting access to one’s nether regions, without the need to remove the whole ensemble.
